The Product Manager develops and drives product strategy cross functionally with P&L responsibility in the assigned product category. Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develops product category strategy to drive revenue and profitability for assigned product lines, including specific, measurable goals such as percentage of market share, net sales, product revenue and margin growth

- Gathers and maintains category foundational research. This includes industry- and consumer-focused research (e.g., industry outlet share, market share, and retail sales by price tier, competitive product profiles, consumer “pain points” and usage/attitude research)

Embedded Systems Engineer
Working as an individual or as part of a team, this embedded software engineering role covers the full software lifecycle including, requirements capture, design, development and verification. Embedded Software Manager

Embedded Software Manager
The Embedded Software Manager will work within the Engineering department based at our site in Hunmanby or Mansfield. They will be required to perform a hands-on role within the matrixed engineering team to line manage a subset of the engineering team in the delivery of new product developments and the maintenance of existing.
Requirements:
- Expert in C/C++ for embedded systems

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Line management of a segment of DSE engineering team. Engineers are located at both the North Yorkshire and Sutton in Ashfield sites with some remote and hybrid working in place
- Line management includes day to day task management, 1:1 appraisal, goal setting, creating, and guiding personal development plans, holiday approval and sickness review
- Work collaboratively with the Project Mangers to review the technical content of projects, define and estimate the duration of tasks to form project plans, assist in making sure project plans are technically correct and appropriate timescales are being worked to
- Work with Project to allocate engineering work tasks to the reporting segment, using JIRA or similar tool for task management
- Provide technical guidance and be a mentor to junior engineers
- Review and be responsibility for engineering work to ensure a high standard of output from the reporting segment
- Ensure the engineers have the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to complete the tasks. Work with the engineering management team to address gaps as necessary
- Work at the project inception stage to provide product and project costs estimates, feasibility studies and ensure that high level technical requirements are capture completely prior to wider engineering involvement
- Be a technical decision maker and contribute to platforms and architecture strategy
- Assist in the development of in-house tools and process
- Support the wider company be answering technical questions
- Administration and maintenance of engineering systems, revision and variant control systems, issue management systems

Technical Support Engineer - Mexico

Technical Support Engineer
To provide DSE’s external customers with high quality, value adding technical support on the full range of the company’s electronic control modules for a wide range of generator and control applications. Including (but not limited to) renewable energy, backup/emergency power, paralleling with the grid, and other complex applications, engine only functions and off highway implementations
To provide technical support and product development guidance to DSE’s internal teams including production, engineering, sales & marketing, test & approvals, and other members of the technical support team
Training global and local customers, and internal personnel on DSE product and their applications
Global and local customer visits to assist sales, training, or fault-finding purposes
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Providing customers with global technical support (training, trouble shooting, commissioning etc.) via telephone, email, remote desktop sessions (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc) and face-to-face on a wide range of DSE product
- Delivering training sessions on DSE products covering technical functions, applications, and common faults
- Test and confirm reported issues from customers. If confirmed follow the company’s procedures and guidelines for remedial action
- Preparation of technical documentation including product manuals and training instructions
- Proofread technical documents authored by other personnel
- Development guidance to engineering on new and existing product features
- Assisting the test and approval department’s comprehensive testing of products
- Technical support to DSE Internal teams including production, engineering, sales & marketing, test & approvals, and other members of the technical support team
- Compliance with internal procedures and documentation
- Submit a monthly report to the global support manager of previous months activities
Internal & External Relationships:
- Liaise with other technical support engineers to better understand existing and new products, and their functionality
- Liaise with the engineering and test & approval departments when clarification is required by those departments or technical support
- Liaise with internal sales and marketing providing assistance where necessary
- Liaise with the relevant Business Development Manager (BDM) for their region’s requirements. Keeping them appraised of developments in their area
- Liaise with DSE distributers, customers, integrators, and end users requiring support
- Liaise with 3rd party companies within DSE supply chain providing assistance where necessary
Requirements:
- General generator application and system knowledge

Web App Test Engineer - Cybersecurity Focus
The individual will work within the Test and Approvals department located at the DSE office Mansfield. They will perform verification and validation activities at a product and system level on new product developments as an integral part of ensuring high-quality and cyber-secure products are built by the company. Full training and support will be provided.
Requirements:
- A good level of understanding of testing types, testing methodologies and software product development lifecycles
- Principles of cryptography for data confidentiality and authentication, including digital certificates, and how to validate these in test scenarios
- Understanding of penetration testing methodologies, and how to translate them into negative and automated test cases
- Web and/or mobile application test technologies and practices, including test automation
- Knowledge of web servers, APIs, and security testing of web-based applications (e.g., authentication, session handling, TLS enforcement)
- Configuring and Troubleshooting IP network settings
- An appreciation of electrical systems and engine driven applications
- Ensure the repeatability of software test plan execution to identify and capture issues during the first test cycle
- Attention to detail, patience and self-discipline required for software testing

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test scripts and plans for product testing during new product development and release, ensuring all security requirements are met
- Expand functional test cases to include cybersecurity-aware scenarios, such as validation of certificate handling, authentication flows, and rejection of weak protocols/ciphers
- Design and run negative test cases informed by penetration testing methodologies (e.g., expired or invalid certificates, malformed payloads, repeated failed logins) to ensure secure failure modes
- Setup test apparatus, including wiring and rewiring of test looms
- Complete test and issue reports as part of testing in a controlled manner
- Utilise existing and contribute to the development and/or introduction of new manual and automated testing tools
- Make use of the company documentation, version control system and issue management systems to record findings in a controller manner
- Communicate and maintain timing records for time spent on projects
- Obtain product knowledge and assist with new product specification
- Assist with the development of internal procedures and techniques for verification and validation testing

Inbound Sales Administrator
The Inbound Sales Administrator acts as the connecting piece between the customer and the Business Development Managers by doing things like processing orders, keeping track of customer information, and providing post-sale customer service reports. Key Responsibilities & Main Duties:

Product Compliance Manager
The Product Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all company products meet the necessary regulatory, functional safety, and market-specific compliance requirements.
This includes overseeing CE marking, US FCC self-declarations, UL file maintenance, Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) approvals, functional safety submissions to IEC 61508, PTCRB certification, and other relevant external approvals.
The role requires close collaboration with engineering, product development and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance from concept through to market release.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the CE marking process, including EU Declarations of Conformity for RED, EMC, and CRA directives
- Lead and compile functional safety cases in accordance with IEC 61508 standards
- Oversee self-declaration processes to the US FCC for applicable products
- Maintain and manage UL certification files for US markets
- Coordinate with the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) for product approvals
- Manage PTCRB and other national approvals for cellular devices
- Liaise with external certification bodies, regulatory agencies, and approval authorities
- Assist with the maintenance and compilation of documentation, technical files, and declaration archives
- Support internal teams with compliance requirements during product design and development
- Provide compliance training and awareness across the organisation
- Develop and improve compliance-related procedures, processes, and checklists
- Monitor changes in international compliance standards and update stakeholders accordingly
- Other ad hoc duties as and when required
Internal & External Relationships:
- Engineering & Product Development – provide compliance guidance and review design documentation and process
- Quality Assurance – support quality systems and ensure compliance is integrated into production processes
- External Certification Bodies & Regulatory Authorities – maintain professional relationships for audits, approvals, and submissions
Requirements:
