Financial Planning & Analysis Accountant

Job Summary:

Financial & KPI reporting
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the business in the LRP and budget process, including preparing presentations and models where necessary
Play a key role in the forecast cycles of the business – modelling, preparing and loading into the consolidation software
Support FP&A Manager with Gross Margin analysis of the Business Group
Support FP&A Manager & FD with performance analysis of the Business Group
Drive continuous improvement of Business Group Reports – improving format, speed, and the detail provided
Prepare monthly executive reports with accuracy and explanation of the results
Key performance metrics analysis including: Sales revenue, Gross margin, EBITDA, Comparisons (performance vs.prior year, budget and forecast), Primary Working Capital and Cash Flows
Diving into further sales analysis including customers, products and regions.
Spot trends and data connections
Overhead reporting and analysis to support various departments within the business and provide a high-level summary of OPEX spend
Cash Flow forecasting on a weekly basis
Weekly KPI reporting and ad-hoc work across the business

- Support Quality Team with day-to-day activity.
- Review production complaints with process team, organising containment activity.

- Support process team with quality issues, initiating and controlling containment actions.
- Support temporary / permanent corrective actions to address quality issues.
- Work with Engineering and Production teams during product introduction to ensure critical features are identified and monitors.
- PPAP & DFMEA & PFMEA creation and upkeep.
- Hands on metrology skills to enable mechanical components to be verified against drawings, using vernier or CMM
- Review process rejects to establish trends and improvement actions.
- Inspection of components when required, new components, new supplier, quality concerns.
- Quarantine and manage NOK components / products, working with suppliers where necessary to correct the issue and manage replacement.
- Support the Quality team in collecting KPI data from process owners to allow monitoring of performance, ensure dissemination throughout the company.
- Escalate to Quality Manager issues that cannot be resolved.
- Maintain quality documentation in accordance with ISO9001 rules.
- Support in resolving customer quality issues.
- Support purchasing team with supplier improvement.
- Support in the ICAR process, working with process owner to reach satisfactory conclusion.
- Work with warranty team to establish top issues and review with process team.
- Product Audits against key features.

We are looking for a highly efficient, professional and proactive Marketing Administrator to join our busy marketing team. The Marketing Administrator will undertake day-to-day administrative and marketing duties and coordinate a wide range of internal / external company events for the Controls & Automation Group (Deep Sea Electronics and MOTORTECH GmbH), working closely with and reporting to the Marketing Coordinator.

Key Role Objectives:
- Deliver high quality Controls & Automation Group events
- Raise the brand profile of the Controls and Automation Group
- Support the marketing team with high-quality administrative duties
- Add value to a wide range of traditional / digital marketing activities
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a professional marketing environment or 3 years’ experience in Project management / Events management administrative environment
- Good planning, organisational and time management skills
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Organising and managing Controls and Automation Group global in-person and online exhibitions and events
- Working with Controls and Automation Group distributors, resellers and system integrators to plan, prepare and communicate Deep Sea Electronics / MOTORTECH input at approved local market exhibitions, conferences and training seminars
- Building up marketing product stock for Controls & Automation Group events in key global office locations
- Creating and maintaining a global database of all marketing stock movement
- Supporting creation and delivery of marketing campaigns
- Supporting the design and implementation of digital marketing activities, including social media, copywriting, scheduling content and integrating the external sales team as appropriate
- Supporting the maintenance of Deep Sea Electronics and MOTORTECH websites using required content management systems, ensuring all content is up to date
- Supporting the delivery of quarterly newsletters for Deep Sea Electronics and MOTORTECH GmbH
- Supporting global event promotion, including PR, advertising and digital marketing as appropriate
- Supporting the creation of marketing documentation, including data sheets, brochures, large format materials, case studies and white papers
- Proofreading marketing and communications content
- Ensuring the department communicates effectively with all Controls and Automation Group stakeholders
- Build a global database of event suppliers and maintain strong relationships
- Maintain and communicate the annual event calendar to key stakeholders for the Controls & Automation Group
- Ensure all marketing databases are maintained and cleaned to maximise campaign ROI

- Managing the product change notification and product obsolete notice process, including collating the required information, creating documentation and sending emails where required

Hardware Team Manager

Hardware Team Manager
The Team Manager (Hardware) will work within the Engineering department based at our site in Hunmanby and Mansfield. They will perform a hands-on role within the matrixed engineering team to line manage a subset of the engineering team in the delivery of new product developments and the maintenance of existing ones
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of electronic and electrical principles
- Solid analogue and digital circuit design
- Experience with Altium or similar PCB design tools
- Extensive experience in PCB design and manufacture (DfMA)
- Proficient with designing for EMC compliance with sound knowledge of EMC testing and certification
- Experience with electrical safety certification, EN 61010-1 standard
- Team management
- Experience in managing a mix of remote and hybrid team of engineers
- Usage of task management tools and bug tracking - Jira, Redmine
- Experience in running daily standup meetings with the team and management
- Good understanding of the waterfall and Agile development and release process
- Line management, day to day task management, goal setting, personal development plans, holiday approval, sickness review
Key Responsibilities & Main Duties:
- Line management of a segment of DSE engineering team. Engineers are located at both the North Yorkshire and Sutton in Ashfield sites with some remote and hybrid working in place
- Line management includes day to day task management, 1:2:1 appraisal, goal setting, creating, and guiding personal development plans, holiday approval and sickness review
- Work collaboratively with the Project Mangers to review the technical content of projects, define and estimate the duration of tasks to form project plans, assist in making sure project plans are technically correct and appropriate timescales are being worked to
- Work with Project managers to allocate engineering work tasks to the reporting segment, using JIRA or similar tool for task management
- Provide technical guidance and be a mentor to junior engineers
- Review and be responsible for engineering work to ensure a high standard of output from the reporting segment
- Ensure the engineers have the necessary skills, knowledge, and tools to complete the tasks
- Work with the engineering management team to address gaps as necessary
- Work at the project inception stage to provide product and project costs estimates, feasibility studies and ensure that high level technical requirements are capture completely prior to wider engineering involvement
- Be a technical decision maker and contribute to platforms and architecture strategy
- Assist in the development of in-house tools and processes
- Support the wider company by answering technical questions
- Administration and maintenance of engineering systems, revision and variant control systems, issue management systems
- Work with other supervisors and engineering managers to ensure alignment on technology, processes, designs and testing
- Review department KPIs to ensure targets are being hit
- Depending on size of team, work hands on as an engineer for the relevant discipline
- Other ad hoc duties as and when required
